Precious Memories

I learned to ride a bike on the street in front of this house. I logged countless hours bumping the volleyball against the back wall on the house. I spent summers playing basketball in the driveway with my siblings (2 brothers, 1 sister). I practiced my hand-springs and cart-wheels in the back yard for cheerleading tryouts. I spent summer nights playing ghosts in the graveyard with all the neighborhood kids. I played 2-hand touch football on hole #3's fairway in front of the house and set up lemonade stands for golf tournaments.
I can still hear the sound the back family room screen door makes while running outside. I can picture my mom, in her element, the kitchen, baking bread. I can picture my dad working in the yard.
My parents lived in this beautiful home for 30 years before the big 'D'. It is for sale and seeing the online tour has brought back a flood of memories in this great part of the country.
I wonder what memories little man will have in our home. With any luck, hopefully, he will have just as good of memories as I have with my old Kentucky home.
