I threw a baby shower for a girlfriend that lives in Washington, DC. There was no more appropriate theme for her and the month of March than the famous Cherry Blossoms that bloom this time of year.

In lieu of games, I passed around a notebook while gifts were being opened for the gals to write either a funny story/advice/whatever to the mother-to-be to read during late-night feedings. (I had a sister-in-law do this at one of my showers & I loved it!)
