Valentine's 2012

Poor little man was diagnosed with atypical pneumonia (walking pneumonia) Monday and as a result, didn't attend his first preschool valentine's party. I'm happy to report he's feeling better, but not 100%. Trying to keep him from attacking his little Sissy has kept me on my toes.

I'll admit - I'm a valentine rookie. I come from a place where valentines were store-bought and if you were lucky, possibly a few chalky candy conversation hearts were dropped in the envelope to accompany the valentine. So, off we went, last week to Target. I let little man choose any boxed valentine his heart desired and he chose:
I thought it was a great selection - it even had a lollipop to attach to each card and how could we forget the famous card especially for the teacher. Little man even decorated each valentine with stickers plastered all over the back of each one - I thought that was above and beyond! So, the morning of valentine's day, we dropped off our cards to have the teacher pass them out while little man was home resting. We picked up our valentine mailboxes today and I must say, people are SO creative! All valentines were hand-made.
iPod valentine found at FamilyFun.com.
More cute ideas found here.
Next year we'll try to be more creative. Sorry, fellow classmates of little man!
