Valentine's Gift for the Gentlemen in your Life

Have you heard of Sette Neckwear? Well, the New York Post has - and they talked about it on Page Six today (see story below).
With increasing prices of pure silk, many tiemakers have resorted to the substitution of the light-weight silk and have compensated for this loss of weight by the use of a heavier cotton liner to give ties additional body. A Sette is made from over a full meter of the finest Italian silk, folded seven times (this is why they are called 7-fold ties) and eliminates the need for a lining. The objective of Sette is to manufacture the finest tie in the world; a tie that is resilient, that will hold together for life, and that will tie easily with the 'dimple' centered under the knot.

We hear . . . we hear

That “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos’ yellow tie that his wife Ali Wentworth raved “popped out of the screen and smacked you across the face” is a Sette, created by former George W. Bush White House Staffer Peter Watkins who has outfitted the last three living Presidents.
